Waves problem based on car honking on circular track

Please provide a solution for this question.

The sound of a racing car moving at a constant speed on a circular track is heard while standing on the edge of the track. How does the pitch of the sound depend on the position of the car?

That’s a simple acoustic Dopler effect, so you just first need to find the velocity of the car with respect to its position.

I have tried and my answer keeps coming out wrong. Could you tell me what youre getting as final answer?

Is it \displaystyle f=\frac{f_0}{\displaystyle 1+\frac{v}{c}\cos\frac{\alpha}{2}}?

Yes I am also getting same answer. But the answer in the exercise booklet is 2$f_0$ and else is same. I don’t know where I am going wrong.

idk, but 2f_0 seems to be out of place

yeah exactly, i think the answer is wrong.
